Safety
Features
Our unique Ball Screw Lift System has
safety advantages that are unmatched in the industry.
The CDM engineered Post Hoist drive
system is:
• More Robust, incorporating a virtually frictionless hardened screw and nut
assembly that has a much greater life cycle than other designs.
• All motion is created via Direct Drive, Electric TEFC or XP motors.
• Positioning is machine tool accurate.
• Our Proprietary Design incorporates additional safety measures.
• Lift will remain in position under load indefinitely without power.
• The Stainless Steel column is a One-Piece Structure
• Heavy Duty Load Bearing Tracks and Internal Bracing are welded to the inside
of the column.

cGMP
Slot Covers
(CDM’s Patented Positive Seal Closure)
Positive Seal Closure Vertical slot cover/closure iswater tight, dust tight, and
wash down safe. It is the only truly cGMP slot cover
available on the market today. The Positive Seal Closure
is self opening and self sealing.

Blending
Portable Vessel Blender
CDM supplied portable Vessel Blender. Flexibility and multiple vessel
functionality were the main factors in design. This blender is easily moved
to different areas of the plant. Variable RPM with up to 30° blending angles
are achievable. CDM can supply this system with various size and shape
vessels to fit your requirements
Post Hoist Blender, Interchangeable Vessel
Flexible Blending Suites increase capacity while reducing time between blends.
Vessels are staged in upstream and downstream tasks at the same time the
blender is working. CDM manufactures Blending Posts that may be Floor and
Ceiling Mounted or Flush Wall Mounted with the capability of blending
IBCs, VShells, Double Cones, Drums, etc. The unit’s blender drive can raise the vessel
above a secondary vessel after blending for direct discharge. The blending shell
is easily moved on its own cart to other areas for discharge, storage or washing.
Multiple vessels enable an almost continuous blending suite.

Bowl
Discharging
CDM manufactured bowl inverter discharges the product from your
process bowl into a secondary container. The bowl inverter is mounted
floor to ceiling, with swivel capability. A discharge clamps to your
product bowl lifts and inverts for discharge. CDM will manufacture a unit
to fit any style product bowl.

Dispensing
Dispensing in a Containment Booth Drums enter the booth area on a pallet. Then lifted from the
sanitary pallet via a ceiling mounted, CDM supplied vacuum
manipulator. The manipulator articulates to reach the back
wall of the booth. Material is scooped from the shipping containers into
sanitary factory drums. The tipper is used to increase
safety and ergonomics. The operator can tilt the drum
through 90 degrees for easy access. The Drum Inverter places the
loaded drum onto the IBC inlet, and allows for product discharge. Dust
containment caps on the IBC inlet mate with the drum
discharge funnel. The drum discharge valve is pneumatically operated and controlled with interface to
the floor scale.

Loading
Charging and loading Blenders can be labor intensive and difficult to
access. Our expertise in equipment design and knowledge of
process requirements is essential for valued systems. Platform Lifts
designed to elevate product to tall ribbon blenders, Drum Tippers
designed to load blending vessels and the working platforms and
stairs are typical solutions offered by CDM.

Blender
Loading
Charging and loading Blenders and Process Equipment can be labor intensive
and difficult to access. Our expertise in equipment design and knowledge of
process requirements is essential for valued systems. CDM will custom design a
lift to load Bins or Drums into your equipment. Direct discharge can eliminate
dust, save time and improve product flow.

Drum loading a “V” Blender through the access-cover is simplified as shown above.
CDM supplied Bins are elevated to charge the access-cover opening on the large “V”
Blender on the left. Ball Screw lifts are both accurate and
repeatable, note the low headroom. A good
choice when docking Split Valves or Silicone Caps.
