Project Description
CDM designed and built a 40 Cu-ft V-Shell Pedestal Blender for pharmaceutical powder blending. The system was manufactured to full cGMP standards and included a custom stainless steel mezzanine to provide safe and convenient operator access. 

Project Challenge
The client required a large-capacity V-Shell Blender with safe loading and cleaning access from above. Traditional pedestal designs did not provide an integrated platform solution, and additional floor space was limited. 

Project Solution
CDM engineered a pedestal-style blender with an integrated stainless steel mezzanine, allowing operators to safely load and clean the vessel from above. To further optimize space, the vessel was designed in a cantilever configuration, eliminating the need for an idler side and reducing the overall footprint in the room. 

Project Result
The client gained a compact, space-saving blender system that maintained full 40 Cu-ft blending capacity while providing safe mezzanine access for operators. The integrated design improved ergonomics, enhanced safety, and maximized usable production space without compromising performance.
